Elisabeth Drude is a German artist living in Vienna. After training as a goldsmith, she completed a master's degree in art history, Italian and history at the University of Cologne in 1998. She dedicated her thesis to the subject of iron jewelry. Elisabeth worked in the jewelry sector in Italy for many years before turning to her own jewelry art and a strong conceptual approach in Vienna in 2017.
For Elisabeth Drude, jewelry is a medium for telling stories and critically questioning the relationship between wearer and object. Her works have been shown at the 33rd International Jewellery Competition in Legnica, the Israel Biennale, as well as in international galleries.
